Joe and Billie Dean Smith
Joe and Billie Dean Smith moved to Matador in 1964 with their 3 children and bought a Restaurant, Motel and a Gulf Station at the corner of US 70 and Texas 70. Joe wanted to name the restaurant and motel after his wife, thus Billie Dean's Restaurant and Motel was born. Today Billie Dean's is owned and operated by their son, Pat, who still opens at 6:00 am for breakfast as they have for many many years. A friendly staff, some who have been with us for close to 15 years now will be there to greet you and serve you a great cup of coffee for .50 cents and unlimited refills. Come by and meet Billie Dean, Pat and the crew at Billie Dean's Restaurant and Motel for some good old-fashioned cooking and hospitality.
